Wellbutrin is one of the many brands that the generic drug, Bupropion is available in. The drug was formulated by Burroughs Research in 1966 and patented by Burroughs-Wellcome in 1974. It is sold in the US and Canadian markets,? under various brands such as Wellbutrin SR, Wellbutrin XL, Zyban, Zyban SR, Budeprion and Buproban.

The type of dosage (in terms of its strength or release character) and the gaps between two dosages should be that which is prescribed to you by both your doctor and the drug company. If in case one has missed a dose of Wellbutrin, it should be taken according to the original schedule of medication. The skipped dose should not be taken close to the time of the next scheduled dose.

One should immediately seek medical attention in case of over dosage as it may lead to instances of seizure, muscle stiffnes, fainting, hallucinations, shallow breathing, fast or uneven heart beat, heart failure, or even coma.
