Smoking: Good, Bad, or Just Not Ideal?

The problem with the subject of smoking is that people rarely talk about it. People relieve stress by putting a cigarette into their mouth. They think that cigarette is useful as it is releasing them of their stress. The fact of the matter is that they are absolutely wrong. Their thinking is totally wrong and short termed. The unfortunate fact is that they are killing themselves, silently, surely and steadily.
Many people realize the truth about smoking with the passage of time. With the passage of time, many people find it very annoying when they see another person with a cigar or a cigarette in his or her hand. Smoking has more bad results than good. People definitely feel some temporary relief in smoking. They feel that a cigarette can calm them down from stress. They feel that cigarette allows them to sit back, relax and take a break from the hectic schedules of life.

The main problem with smoking is addiction. Once people start, they find it very hard not to have a? cigarette in their hands. They main problem with smoking is that it can cause various fatal diseases like cancer. A number of steps have been taken to discourage people from smoking. Many restaurants and bars have banned smoking inside their premises. This step has frustrated a lot of smokers. They don?t have the privilege of a separate smoker?s section at their favorite bar or restaurant, anymore. These smokers have now lost the chance to enjoy meal or a mug of beer with a cigarette in their hand.

Many smokers have complained about the ban on smoking in restaurants, public places and bars. They have treated the matter as a restriction of their personal freedom. They feel that they are not treated well by the organizations or authorities.

Smokers are divided into two categories or classes. The first category is called the casual smoker, who light up every now and then whenever they feel stressed out.? Although they are addicted to nicotine, it is easier for them to give up smoking than people who belong to the second category of confirmed or chain smokers. Chain smokers smoke compulsively and are habitual of lighting up a couple of packets or so a day.

If you are thinking of taking up the habit, stop for a minute and think. Cigarette smoking is injurious not just for your physical health, but also can be disastrous for your social life, so to speak.
